Jeff,

I have had many requests for the blades on the 5 and 6 to be made in all the colors like the 3 and 4. Is this a future plan in the works? :D

Thank you,
Sheila

Maybe some day we will wear him down, but for now it doesn’t look like it will happen. Part of it is the addition of new item SKUs to track within the line. So instead of there being 2 options for an ESEE-6, there is now 6. Great for the customer who wants different colors, but more work on the part of the mfr and distributors.

One big thing I’d love to see is canvas micarta offered on every model with the black blade. At least we can dream!

adaman, you are correct sir! It makes it a bitch to introduce new SKUs and variations, both on the manuacturers and distributors. Not saying we will never do it, but not right now.

Guys concerning themselves with the color of their knife must lead some seriously boring lives. These aren't shoes, they're knives. You don't need to match your knife to your MOLLE gear to your hat to your tactical underwear. You should be able to get them in any color you want as long as it's black.

This is America baby (well for many of us it is). We don’t need $100-200 knives at all. I could break a lot of Mora Clippers and $10 machetes before I got in to the price range of 1 ESEE blade. We want ESEE blades, we want variety based on aesthetics, etc. Don’t start justifying it with need or all my hobbies will dry up. :D

The OP is a Woman :D

& I'd love to have the ESEE6 & Junglas w/ Green Blade:thumbup:

Noted and understood, but presumably her customer base is largely NOT female. I could be wrong.

Anyway, I wasn't trying to ruffle feathers. Sometimes when you step back from the awesomeness of the gadgetry, which I often get completely sucked into as well, you realize how absurd we get. I WISH my only problems were being upset over what color my knife comes in.

I wish my only problem was what color my knife comes in as well. I just had to sell my 3 and 6 on the exchange because my business went under and now I'm living month to month selling what I can. Nothing like building commercial real estate during a housing recession!

I WISH my only problem was being upset over what other people wanted in knife colors. And hiking boots. And backpacks. And...

It's all about being part of the cult, dudes. (had to throw that "dudes" thing in there)

I promise. As soon as we complete the deal on buying the old Jonestown compound then we will be doing multi-colors in all the knives along with bright specks of stuff in the koolaid.

I'm not tacticool enough to have a black knife.

That will be nice, I would like to have an orange/green 5 and a DT junglas would be sick as well
