Well Im tired of the way my Recon 1 looks, dont get me wrong, great knife but I think it needs to be a little more custom (I cant leave anything alone). Any tips on disassembly? Anyone know how i can remove the black teflon coating? I just want to polish the AUS8 blade to a mirror shine, any help on that? And what is a good resource to buy the screws in chrome? Help to any of this would be very appreciated, I will post pictures when im done.
 
For the blade sand at 320, 600, 1200, 2000 grit (you may have a hard time finding 2000 grit) That will get the coating off and get you a shiny finish, then hit it with some polishing compound, I like mothers polish, you can start with a dremel or buffing wheel (white polish in bar form for a wheel) then hand rub the blade with mothers polish using a fine cotton clothe. As for the screws, you can polish those too.
 
How about a custom satin s30v blade while you at it .I wonder who would do this?
 
A dremel will not polish a knife blade. Sand it to 200- 2500 grit.
