Hello Everyone,

I did this last summer. I finally got around to photographing it.

Customized 9" Jndiana Italian Stiletto Bolster Open/Close Re-Scaled in White Mother of Pearl with Blue Laminate Mother of Pearl Bolster
Vulcanized Spacers White over Blue
The Blade is Swedged Blade by Hand.
Originally scaled in Tulip Wood.
OAL 9"
Steel and Brass has been Polished with Diamond Paste
Brass Pins and Steel Pivot Pin
4" AISI 420 Mirror Polished Stainless Steel Blade
5" Handle with Beautiful Highly Polished White Mother of Pearl with Blue Laminate MOP Bolster
Tang Stamp Front Side: STAINLESS in capital letters running diagonally,
Back Side: UD96A000103 over PATENT in capital letters running diagonally
Factory Sharpened Blade
Blade Sits Below the Liner and is Centered in the Channel
Locks-Up open with minimal movement
For collectors not familiar with this style knife in order to deploy the blade the top bolster swivels in the same manner used to close many stilettos.
This knife is about 10 years old and no longer in production.

Please feel free to post photos of your Custom Jndiana or factory made Jndiana on this thread.

Thank you for taking a look at my latest re-scaled Jndiana Italian Stiletto,

John

Hi killgar,
I was inspired by Frank Beltrame's Italian stiletto scaled in white bone with blue titanium bolsters. I didn't makes top bolster with the blue abalone laminate for fear that at some point in the future the top bolster would crack under the repeated use of opening and closing the knife.
Thank you, killgar for taking a look at my rescsle stiletto and for your comment,
John

Very, very nice work. My dream is to own a vintage Italian stiletto. Your work on this knife is impressive. Seeing this motivates me to find one even more. :D

Oh if I was a pimp that's definitely what I would carry. Seriously though beautiful work

Hello Zogglet,
Is there a particular tang stamp or style vintage Italian stiletto you're looking to add to your collection? I may be able to help you find one.
This rescale was a fun project. The knife was scaled in wood. It looked boring. The wood handles were plain nothing fancy like a burl or snakewood. So I decide to dress it up.
Thank you, Zogglet, for stopping by my thead and writing a comment,
John

Hello savage99,
I fell in love with it. But I ran into some cash flow issues and sold it off. I'm going to make myself another one. It's too pretty to be an EDC; it's more like what you'd carry when pimp'in :):):)
Thank you, savage99, for checking out my former pimp'in switchblade and for your comment,
John

I've always loved the look of polished swivel bolsters with a bayonet blade style. 9" OAL is pretty much exactly the size I've had my eye on. With the exception of the difference in blade style, your knife is pretty much dead on to what I think of when I picture my ideal stiletto.

You definitely dressed it up; a knife like that deserves it :)

Hello Zogglet,
There are a lot of online stores that sell exactly what you're looking.
Good Luck,
John

Thanks. I really like A.G.A. Campolin's knives, especially his picklock series:

Hi Zogglet,

Check out Anngelo Campolin's new website: 3knives.com
He makes some of the finest knives in Italy.
You should also check out Frank Beltrame he too makes wicked beautiful stilettos.
These two knife makers are the best for Italian autos!

The prototypes were made by Renzo Pascotto. I have three prototypes made for 25 cm knife with the 5 mm kick spring and blade that AGA is offering. I also have production models from AGA (not pictured). They are ALL fabulous. Another one I picked last month is the 33 cm wasp body flat guard picklock made by Renzo and it is outstanding. I don't have the production model made by AGA. I've heard that they are fantastic. I strongly recommend either production model pick lock knife. Pictured below are three of the 14 prototypes in the 25mm size.

Renzo Pascotto 33cm Wasp Body Flat Guard Pick Lock scaled in Buffalo Horn Nickel Silver Bolsters, Button and Safety Brass Lined 5mm Blade and Spring, Button Side is Laser Etched with Renzo's Logo over Maniago over Italy, the Back Side is not stamped

All four: Fire like a Rocket and Lock-Up like the door on the Space Shuttle. All 14 Prototypes were made by hand using the same methods used in the Golden Age of Switchblades.

Those are breathtaking! You have an incredible collection. The buffalo horn and the mother of pearl pieces are fantastic. How long have you been collecting stilettos?

Hi Zogglet,

I haven't been collecting all that long only since 2006. I got my first auto in Sorrento, Italy. I got a cheap Nato otf for 8 euros. I've always been a knife nut, but never really thought about collecting. When I got home I got on the web and I found SKM,com located in Maniago, Italy. I was hooked; I swallow the hook, sinker, the line, the rod and the fisherman. :):):) I'm attaching two photos of the Nato.

Here's the production model of the 25cm. Mine has Renzo's stamp all the others have AGA.

Hello Catherine_Montana,

I love this hobby. I'm an addict. Do you have any Italian Stilettos in your collection. You can post your favorite or favorites here. I'd love to see them.

Thank you, Cate, for taking a look at my thread and for leaving a comment,

John

Thank you for sharing! All of your Renzo prototypes are amazing. I checked out Campolin's new website - they're all awesome looking, and I must say I haven't seen a Teflon coated stiletto before - it gives them a whole different look, and I like it a lot.
Some of Frank Beltrame's I may like even more. I also like his stamp - very classy. I love the one he made with black buffalo horn and blue bolsters, and the several pearl-ex ones I saw.

And of course, I had to find some customs to look at. These are so gorgeous:

I'm going to keep checking up on that site. :playful:

Hello EChoil,
There's nothing like an Italian stiletto.
Thank you, EChoil, for checking out my thread and for writing a comment,
John
