One's a customized Becker and the other is a pair of "customized" grips, but I had to do something with 'em lol

And a BK-4. Full height variable convex grind (very high in the drawknife section, a little beefier at the POP. With pot lifter.
(This project started originally as just stripping the finish-found myself needing to use it to lift the grill at a barbecue and as tough as the Becker coating is, it doesn't like heat...)

I'll put micarta grips on it after BLADE show when I have time.

Wow! The polish on that 5 is RIDICULOUS! When I first saw the pic I thought "why is there blue painter's tape on the blade?" - then I realized that was the sky reflecting in it! Nice work!

That BK-5 is absolutely beautiful. What grit was used on it? 2000grit, or higher? I tried for a satin polish with 2000, and it wasn't quite there. Maybe some sanding with flitz?? I dig the machete. Good job on that one as well :thumbup:

That polish is 400 grit cork belt, sisal wheel with cut & color compound, then a tight spiral sewn buff with pink stainless compound...helps to have the machinery (and I had to grind both to get the finish off and to convex out the edge).
The long one is 5160, distalled from 5/16" ish to a little under 3/16"-it would have been longer and more distalled but I blew a weld on the power hammer dies while I was forging it. Glad ya like 'em!

(the 9 also has the sharpening notch slightly enlarged for striking a firesteel)

BK-15 with shower pan liner liners:

There are also quite a few very minor customizations along the way. A lot of mine have had the logos etched and the coating stripped.
