Well, I just finished this knife and sheath up, it was the first time I have taken on a project like this but it was a blast, but I learned that I could really use some new tools to make these kind of mods easier!
Blade- stripped and forced light patina with ACV and a paper towel
Scales- Stabilized, spalted sycamore with an "ink-line"
Sheath- 7-8oz leather, handstiched and dyed. Has removable dangler loop so it can be worn as a dangler or up on the belt/hip. Fully sealed for water resistance, and drain hole in bottom of welt.
Also comes with box, original sheath and original scales (both sets) with bolts.
Please understand that this is definitely not show quality work, as this is the first knife I have done something like this to. There are imperfections with the dye on the sheath (but nothing wrong with it), and on my last round of sanding the handles before polish I realized that I had gone through the one end of the corby rivets. I had no idea that the hole in the rivet goes beyond the threads... None of this effects the usability of the knife or sheath, and they really don't take away from it, I am just a minor perfectionist and want it to be known and shown exactly how it is. All in all, this thing came out great but I need some new tools.
So I am only asking what I have into the knife (not including my time, which was more than I thought it would be)
$100 PRICEDROP TO $90!! shipped in the USA
OR
Trade for a BK-7 with Micarta scales (users ok as long as the condition is good) or towards an ESEE 6 ( I can add a little cash for the right deal)
Please PM or email with any questions or offers, Thanks
Here are more pics of before the completion on my other post...
