I've seen pictures of a few with that mod around here. Don't own one personally, but it's on the list.

You mean the 'ramp'?

Yes, it's quite common to de-ramp BKs. Here's mine, de-ramped, jimped, and sanded smooth.

So ... how did you do it?

Gonna do anything about all that surface rust?

Yeah, I just got back from a camping trip, three days of heavy use, lol

I grinded it down, took forever for about every 2 seconds on the belt it went into the water right after

Dunno. Came that way. Not the original owner. Assume they're factory made prior to heat treat.

If i remember correctly they are marks from straightening the blade after heat treat.

I haven't smoothed a ramp out, but I am thinking of doing just that to my 9
