IMHO, this rivals the basic customs of Bali-Song USA and Pacific Cutlery in quailty and performance. It manipulates beautifully; does an almost silent latch-drop because of the extraordinary fit at the custom made pivot pins. No washers or bushings, just exemplary machine work! This thing is built like a tank with the 3/16" thick, mirror polished, WeeHawk blade and skeletonized stainless handles. As you will see from the photos, the handles are perfectly tapered, the holes are nicely counter-sunk, the pivot pins are all the same depth in the handles, the latch is well fit with perfect tension in the open and closed position, and on, and on..........If you can't tell, I'm very pleased with Eric's work!!! If you've got a worn out old Pacific Cutlery International Series or the early Benchmade knives with the nice, heavy, 3/16" thick blades, or any blade you'd like a fantastic set of custom handles for, I'd recommend our friend 'Mer' very highly. I'm pround to say I was his first paying customer and it's one of the best $100 bills I ever spent. This is a real bargin to take a knife that was so loose it wasn't any fun to flip to one that is, in it's own way, just as nice as the old customs and for $100!!!! Try it, you'll like it.........;)

Here's the rest to check out the great work..........:D http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=667533&a=13820473

Word. I got a 239bs with loose handles and $100 sounds cheap to me if you say his work is good. How do I contact him?

If you have any extras, I'll buy them!!!! I want one baaaaaaaaaaddd! Just tell me how much and where to send the $$$$$. I'm very serious please email me.

Wow...really nice...Eric and I talked a little about some of those projects. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS WORK!!! $100 is a very fair price given the time-detail-fit considerations!!!

Nice of you to post it for us!!

I wonder if Mer knew what he was getting himself into.:D Anyway, great piece-- keep up the good work. Also, Mer, don't let this sidetrack you too much; I'm really interested in seeing more collaborations with Ocyrus!

Man, what a review to wake up to! Dudley, thank you for the very positive feedback and I'm glad you're happy with my work. I guess I've got a new side business now. I can re-handle pretty much anything, just email me and we can discuss the details. Thanks again to everyone for the support and kind words.

Who was it that had a 9" Taylor Golden Dragon that was missing a handle?

I deleted all my older emails, but I'd almost pay the $50.00 he wanted for it, now...

I think that I'll have to go and break one of my old BM's real quick...

Well,

Right now, I have the original prototype blade and Ocyrus has the handles. I am going to make a new set of handles and Ocyrus is going to make a new blade, then we will both have a knife. Ocyrus's will have carbon fibre inserts and mine will be purple heart wood and yellow heart wood inserts. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I'll have something to show you. My wife has already made the comment that she has become a machine shop widow. :D

Stay Tuned,

Geeeeesh Eric!! Take her to dinner.., and buy her Clay's CD... Ok...I guess a nice piece of jewelry would be a nice -optional- touch ;)

FYI..., my girlfriend hates me...DO NOT listen to me!
