Hello all. I have recently started getting into throwing hawks. I started with a Rifleman's Hawk, and I love it. It is a beast, and hits like a Mack Truck. That said, I wanted something a bit smaller and lighter for throwing in the backpack and taking out in the field. I bought a Trail Hawk, and it was love at first throw. While I liked the hawks well enough, they needed a little "personalization". Soooo....this is what you get on a windy, yucky day when I'm bored in the garage. ;-)

Please let me know what you think. I stripped the heads, sanded the shafts, stained them, and both hawks have a razor sharp edge that will seriously push cut newspaper.

No problem, happens to me more than I care to admit. :o

BTW, when throwing these two, does the different weights mess you up very much when switching from one to the other?

There is definitely a BIG difference. :-) I really like both, but the weight difference necessitates a different hold on the Trail Hawk. I can throw from the exact same spot, I just put my thumb up on the handle of the TH. this slows the spin down and allows it to carry further. However, the weight and heft of the Rifleman's Hawk can't be beat for a solid THUD as it sinks into a railroad tie.

deleated..,if this is a no/go to talk about on forum, email,me or pm whatever im allowed, thanks. well I just reread the rules,i think this might be a bad post. sorry mods..
