Just playing aroung withis one. The G10 is real rough (IMO) on the stock DoDo. It glides out of the pocket now. I smoothed the G10, jeweled the flats (on the blade), and drilled a "Spydy Hole" at the end of the handle. The pic makes the hole look rough, but trust me it is very smooth. I also rounded the edges off the blade hole.

Nice, but why smoothing the G10?
I found G10's grippiness rather nice.

Pretty nifty.

How did you jewel the flats?

I'm guessing a dremel, but what kind of attachment did you use?

Thanks,

I smoothed it because I wanted that nice rounded feel, I don't do alot of hardcore using. The G10 still has a little bit of the edge in the center of the handle.

I did the jeweling the way most knife makers do it. With a drill press (some use milling or cnc machines) and a Kratex rod. Kratex is some really cool stuff. To get the perfect circles you really can't do it by hand (unless your really strong and have a steady hand!)

jaiden,

Nifty... I didn't know you had to use a drill press. That makes sense.

Good thing I didn't try it with a Dremel -- I'm neither strong nor have a steady hand!!

;)

What's Kratex?

Thanks.

I bet you woudn't have a extra 1/4 in one I can buy from you would you?

BTW, I HATE how rough some G10 is when you try to clip it your pocket. I can almost hear the threads in my jeans scream.
