So, I lost the sheath for my Insingo Nyala during a move (don’t ask), and reached out to CRK, about a replacement. I was told they only had a black sheath available. I didn’t think that would look so hot with the light brown scales on the knife, so I decided to dye and sand them.
The result came out to look like an antiqued / worn wood in my opinion. What do you guys think? Should I leave it alone, or go with another dye dip?
This is about a minute in black dye and a buff with a scotch bright pad and steel wool, then a spray of WD-40 to bring out the color.
