You can anodize ti liners, skeletonize handles, shape Micarta, CF or G-10, apply wing-walk, replace cheap washers with bronze ones, replace thumbstuds, modify the blade's finish...what else can you think of?

The more creative and original, the better.

TI backspacers
reprofile the edge to a more agressive grind
add deeper top swedges....

I've got a CS SRK on the way that I'm going to work with... don't want to give it away before I have pics, but suffice it to say that the Kraton handle shouldn't be an issue. :D

Metal handles :-) I would love to see that on a black anodized blade, shiny metal handles... or red anodized aluminium... Maybe even of low fluorescent polymer so the handle can be found in the dark quickly.
Maybe even some holes drilled into the part of the blade which is in the handle so you could attach some tools to it, like a screwdriver or Allen wrench... Just thinking aloud...

I have a SOG tomcat, (cocobolo scales) that I have never really carried because I have been spoiled by one hand openers. I am going to put a thumb stud on it and if needed cut a recess in the left slab to accomidate it.
I might drill and tap the bolsters for a pocket clip

I bought a Camillus pilots survival knife real cheap a couple of years ago. I hated the leather handle and that big chunk of steel on the pommel so I made a micarta handle and new brass guard.
