I am selling my project knives. Both are stripped off the coating and hand polished by me. Because the surface underneath the coating isn't smooth for either knife, I used a series of sand paper to get a satin finish. I spent over 3 hour on each knife.
First up is a Ontario RAT-5 w/cordura sheath and original box. The factory edge has been reprofiled to a polished convex edge (I do that for all of my fixed blades). I used it once in a camp trip. There maybe some hair thin scratches near the edge, but they are barely visible.

Second one is a satin Ranger knives Ranger Assault Kinfe with micarta scales. I polished the blade and the spine, but leave the coating on the skull crusher and under the scales intact. This prevents corrosion under the scales. I also polished off some harsh corners of the micarta scales and made it perfectly flush with the tang. It's never used, and still has the factory edge (sometimes, factory edge isn't the best, you need to sharpen this one for serious works). No sheath.

That's a nice RAK. You'd pay a lot more than that asking price to buy your own RAK and send it to Justin to have him put on micarta handles, instead of the standard cord-wrap handle...I know 'cause I called him to ask for that mod on my RAK ;)

I don't think that is too much for what it is. As a matter of fact, my fingers are getting itchy, and I might just send you an e-mail on that little darling, provided of course that you ship to Canada.

NO problem with shipping to Canada:D

I am beside myself.

When I first went to the Ranger website, I went to check out the RD7. As I was going through the site, I came across the RAK. My first thought was, "Cool knife. I wish it had solid handle slabs." Man, I've waited long enough on this one.

I'll take it. E-mail sent.
