Well, actually it's an Uncle Henry Wolverine. So many of you appreciate this knife as I do and thought I would share the results of this project.

Project%203.jpg

I wanted to put together a kit, but was dissatisfied with the kits I had seen so I took the handle off of a Wolverine and put on my own handle. Took about 3 hours total...since it was my first time. The handles are Bubinga and are cut to be mirror images of each other. The bolts are Loveless style with brass bolt and stainless nut. I epoxied the handles to the blank and finished the scales with a satin finish Tung oil. I like it better than the original, it has a much better feel.

Very nice! I was thinking about doing this as well, except I am in the middle of putting koa scales on a Greco knife right now!

Can you drop me an email about how you got the original scales off?
