Was at a Gun Show the other day and a vendor had a number of Spydercos with polished stone grips; obviously more show than go; think they had the stone on one side only but they were very nice; believe he had a Byrd or two decked out the same way. He said they were the work of Santa Fe Stone (not certain that is correct name) but said he would contact them and they would build grips the way he wanted them. I didn't think the prices were too out of line but they weren't really my cup of tea. I would guess this was not unusual but it was interesting.

My cousin bought her husband a delica with a custom scale on one side...im not sure if it was done by santa Fe stone, but it was pretty sweet...on the non clip side there was a slab of some stone over the SS and it had a cattle roping image in silver...its a pretty sweet blade!

Santa Fe Stone Works does some outstanding work. You can see more of their work on their web site, www.santafestoneworks.com. NGK also handles some of their work.

They were at Blade in Atlanta last year and may be there this year. If you go, it's well worth visiting their stall to talk to them and see their work in person.
