Customizing Argonne Assault LB?

Weekend all,

So I have been under a rock the past year or so and just recently got back to civilization. I noticed that Busse has the Argonne Assault LB available from their site. Would I have to place a custom order or what would be involved in stripping the black blade finish and putting a satin or mirror finish on if possible?

That'll have to be a custom order if you want Busse to do it, which I recommend.

You could strip it yourself. A lot of people have had success with Klean-Strip products on Busses. I just recommend Busse do it because I wouldn't want to do the satin or mirror finish myself around the finger rings. Seems kind of tedious without the right equipment or patience.

Stupid question but... I have heard of the Busse Custom Shop but do not see any information on their website and when I google it I get nothing. How goes one go about getting a custom knife from Busse? SUch as do I purchase the Argonne Assault and then they hold on to it until they have time to do the customer work and then they send it to me?

Email Garth or Pokey or give them a call...They would be more than happy to do the work, it just costs extra ;) :D

What he said, contact Garth and see if it is possible.

Has Busse ever done a satin AA before? Anyone know?

Yes they have, and they look pretty damn amazing.

As for a Satin LB AA, this question has popped up before, and the word is that Busse will not (at the moment) satin the LB AA because well, everyone would want one and I imagine that it would take forever to just do one. That statement may not be true, but that is what I've heard in a coupke threads.

It is a problem because of the Hollow Grinds on the blade.
It looks like a 3rd party will be the best choice, unfortunately :(
