Hi.

I got my CRKT urban shark a few weeks ago.
Would like to make it a bit more personal. i.e. make new side plates to it. I would like to try aluminium.

I have this factory a few click from me who make super clean aluminium, 99,9999999% they say. I could easily get some samples of it.

Do you know how they make this anodized aluminium the spacers in SAKs are made??

Can epoxy be used to make micarta? What colour agents should i use?
I think i read about a guy from Poland here who did it on a CRKT bear claw..

Hello Norwegian and a belated welcome to the forums.

We try to keep this particular forum on the topics of custom made knves rather than factory knives or the customization of factory knives.

I am moving this to the general forum where it will most likely get more response.

I replaced the scales with black buffalo horn. I also polished the blade and the edges of the liners. It took me about 10 hours of work in total, but was a fun project. I gave it to my dad after I finished.
