Customizing Factory Knives

Does anyone know of a company or person that could put micarta scales on a current factory folder for me?
I recall reading something about a company that puts fancy scales on different production folders, but all I want is some nice micarta scales for a using knife.
All the current production seems to be with G10, which is not my thing.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would second the vote for Frank Recupero, but if you're just looking for changing the scales you may want to try our own Jake Evans blades@chipsnet.com,
I think your turn around would be a lot faster. Frank's specialty is fancy filework, and he keeps himself pretty busy. Jake is a rising star, and really does nice work, drop him an e-mail. Tell him Phil sent ya!

You could always have a crack at it yourself, replacing scales isn't a massive job and it may even start you on the slippery slope of knifemaking
