I have a 80T that I just love. The Derlin scales just don't do justice to the knife. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to the Derlin scales into stag, bone, or wood.

There's a thread around here somewhere (either here in the Schrade or over in the Traditional forums) where a guy put oak scales on, I believe, a 34-OT Middleman. Looked real good!
Also, over on KF, in the slipjoints forum, I think Oupadirk had a tutorial on scale replacement. Worth checking out!

I have an excellent book... "The Complete Book of Pocketknife Repair" by Ben Kelley, Jr. I recommend it, if only for learning how a knife is put together and made to work so well.
