Customizing??

Hey, I just got a Spyderco Viele (great knife, review to follow), and was wondering how hard it would be to customize the scales. I have some Koa and some Monkey Pod wood and thought that it would be amazing to make scales for this knife out of one of these woods.

So, is this knife easy to take apart (it appears to be, but don't know if they glue the scales)?
Do you all have any tips, or are there places that would do it for me? how much?
I don't have much wood working experience, but have friends that do.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Josh

I'm sorry that I don't know the answer, but I can suggest that you post a duplicate question in the Spyderco Forum. There are some very knowledgeable people over there who have done a good deal of customizing.
