I made a computer wallpaper of the custom knives I have on order using some pictures I found. Some have been on order for a good while, some due within a few months, a couple I won't see until 2010, and some I have no idea when. Handle materials are not necessarily the same as I have ordered.
- Cover, Preston, Dowell, Kirk, Denning, and Menefee.
What customs to you guys have in the pipeline?

I have my first custom slippy on order, a Rick Menefee Backpocket Shadow Trapper with natural linen micarta scales. I still have a 5-6 month wait. :grumpy: I don't know how you guys do it, the wait is killing me.

Been waiting on a knife from Reese - 6 years now 7 in June (hope he is not mad at me).
Am on Tony's list.

Joel Chamblin - Just a price ceiling for what he wants to make.
Johnny Stout - Stag swayback.
Vince Evans - fancy dagger.
Ron Newton - ?
Joe Allen - ?
Kerry - ?
Sava Damlovac - fancy dagger
Jerry Fisk - ?
Ryuichi Kawamura - Dr. knife & whittler (Blade ?)
Shigeru Tozaki - engraved slipjoint (Blade ?)
Mike Zscherny - 2 blade swayback (Blade ?)
Just took delivery of a stunning knife by Bailey Bradshaw. It is in the custom forum. So I need to get back on his list. I will be calling him this weekend.

Want to touch base with Rick Menefee, have a very loose order with Ken Erickson and Mike Alsdorf and need to touch base with Ken Coats. Have some loose orders with Amherst for future designs coming out this year or next. I also want to touch base with Steve Dunn and Don Hansen.

Might be one or two I do not remember at the moment.

I just have one traditional on order...should have it in hand next week. This is one Ken Coats made to my specs as far as blade pattern and I wanted a barehead, almost a barehead doctor's pattern but it will serve very nicely as a gentleman's steak knife at restaurants as well as an all around pocket knife. Ken says the color of the scale are much closer to rootbeer than the pics show...again it is a color I asked for and I am sure Ken nailed it...time to be a postman stalker....lol...

the other custom I have on the way isn't a traditional but I will show a small pic...it is a custom karambit in mastodon and damascus...

Just one more from Kerry and one by Ray Cover, Hoping my mailbox will be full one day soon.

I really need to start taking better pics of knives that I'm not posting for sale, didn't want to hijack the thread but Wade I'd start watching the mailbox by Tuesday.

I have knives on order or on a list with:

Brett Dowell
Kerry Hampton
Chuck Gedraitis

I'm talking with Mike Alsdorf about my next order from him. I always seem to have something going with him. My most recent request was a modification of an existing pattern. I haven't gotten confirmation from Mike yet that's he is willing to make it but he did reply that my request was "interesting" so I'm taking that as a positive thing. :D

I really want to put an order in with Rick Menefee but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Friends,

The first names I come up with are Reese, Tony, Kerry, Ken and Mike Z. Guess I have to keep working a bit longer! ;)

It appears that "slippies" have gotten hold of me!:D:thumbup:

That Barehead Doctor is a most unusual design, REALLY nice:thumbup:

We look forward to seeing pix of it in action or 'in the field'

If the sun ever comes out again here in north central Indiana I will get some pics of it outdoors where the sun can really show it off. I'll make sure I am home for da mailman next week too!

Off the top of my head. . . . .for slipjoints: Don Hanson, Kerry Hampton, Ken Erickson, GTC Knives, and two from Joel Chamblin.

I know I have several more on order, but I'm away from my main computer.

I'm not sure what's more painful. . . . .the wallet deficit or the wait. :D
