Hi guys?

This is my first post on here. I have been reading and doing some research for a couple of weeks and when it comes to wanting something I unfortunately have very expensive taste! I am looking at buying a Sebenza from overseas and have contacted customs to ask them if I could import a sebenza, a zt550 or a zt 560.

I received a reply and was told I can import a zt550, not a 560 due to it being easily openable with one hand. The Sebenza they were not sure of and said can it be opened with one hand? So that it my question, can the sebenza be opened one handed as I'd hate to buy one to have it confiscated!

Thanks

Any knife can be opened one handed, even my bench made benchmite ii! It is designed to be opened one handed with the thumb stud. Do they allow knives such as lockbacks like a buck 110 but not knives like a benchmade griptilian or any spyderco's?

Where are you from ?....

The Sebenza, as with all CR knives, are made to be opened with one hand. If that is an issue then perhaps try to buy one through a dealer in your country. Paying more than the going rate for a knife is better than paying any amount for a big bit of nothing.

Although not designed to be a fast opening "tactical" knife, it is designed to be opened with one hand.

Thats odd that they told you that about the ZT 550. It has a larger thumb stud than the Sebenza.
Any knife that has a thumb stud, hole, or flipper can easily be opened with one hand.

Just buy one from the forums and pay extra to have it sent in pieces.. assemble, enjoy!
But yah, unfortunately, Sebenza's are made to be opened one handed. And it would be the biggest bummer in the world to have such a beautiful knife confiscated..

Chris Reeve introduced the first Sebenza in 1987 and the profile has experienced only minor changes over the years.Paying more than the going rate for a blade is superior to paying any measure for a huge spot of nothing.
