i read most of that sticky and still confused? Last post was more than 4 years ago. Seems there are more Autos and assisted open knives than ever being produced. So is that threatened ruling on hold or never gonna happen or what?
Update and rules would be helpful!
Thanks
DN

I know a few years ago the ban on auto knives in Alaska was lifted. They are now legal here. I suspect other states have done the same.

Yes Florida is legal also. Got my 112 auto with no problems. There is confusion though as i like to vacation in Georgia and the Carolinas and was told i could not interstare travel with it. Like the darn gun laws you have to know the laws for everyvstate which i find is an infringement. And a real hassel.

They are legal now in Texas for everyone, but some sellers (like Copper and Clad, who are otherwise one of my favorites) still refuse to sell them without proof of working in Law enforcement.

I believe that through the efforts of Knife Rights and other organizations, the Federal Ban on interstate shipment/transporaton and possession of an automatic knife was lifted.
(I can't see Buck, for example, making knives they could not legally ship or sell outside of Idaho.)
I know Knife Rights has gotten most states to rescind their anti-switchblade legislation, and where appropriate, change the laws so that State Law trumped local laws and ordinances.
