Just need to figure out just what in the heck that ugly thing is on the end  length 10 or so " handle 5 or so " 5160 steel fully quenched w/ distal. Curly maple and silver guard. I've been playing around with differant etches to reduce drag.

Hey Mark, looks like that would cut alright. have you tried cutting rope with it yet? where are you gonna put the lanyard hole? that thing on the end, kinda looks like a Puma head to me.

No Terry, Havent cut anything but myself so far. I still have to finish grind. I'm going to do an inserted lanyard eyelet in the end of the puma head :)

Man I really like the taper on that blade looks like a great slicer. A few questions if I could please. Sorry if I missed it but what was the final say on the rules? 15" OAL, 10"Blade, 2"wide, at least one pin and a lanyard hole. Is that it? What about a guard? Does it have to have one etc. Thanks

Hey Mark,

We are kinda shooting towards the ABS rules as far as length and width. If you are a little over no body is going to sweat it here :). I just want this to be fun and used as a learning tool moreso than a competition. The pin requirement and lanyard just makes sense. Dont everybody spend all their money at blade to where you cant afford to come :)

Oh yea, I dont think guards are an issue.

that's the way the NECKA comp was run, and I really had a good time...I went a bit overboard on the rope cut testing, but sometimes you just gotta know. :D

Cool,Mark! May your blade go through the rope like going through smoke. I agree, it looks like a real cutter.

Oh Mark.......
Where does the blade start?

I think I'm OK one the 10" blade but I need to cut some off the handle. I'm about 17 over all. What's a rope cutter without a skull crusher pommel :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Now if I can just finish it in time.

I think the blade length limit and handle length limit are both out the window. Oh well this is our first getogether. We'll do better next time :D
