cut doing the wave?

Has anyone here ever gotten cut opening his knife using the wave? I was fiddling around trying to open my kerambit directly into a reverse grip. Fortunately, I did it slowly because otherwise I would have cut the inside of my fingers with the very tip of the blade as it opened.

I've never had a problem like this before opening with the wave into a saber grip. Are there any videos on line that show the best way to use the wave? I didn't see anything too clear on the Emerson website.

ECK have been known to bite. Its best to use a trainer to play or train with.
 
i too have heard the kerambits will cut ya easier than other knives that are waved, i have never had a problem like that with my waved EKIs (SOCFK,commander, CQC7, CQC13)
 
I've got a bunch of Emersons, and I can tell you that the Combat Kerambit is sharp as shit because it's so pointy. :thumbup: I guess that I'll just have to be careful...

yeah the blade of the ECK hooks inward and ive been bit a few times by it, But i still love it. The problem stops after youve trained with it for awhile.
