Hi all,
A couple of days ago I cut some green honey locust wood. I debarked it and then set it in the sun to start drying.
I cut a spindle from a round branch and then another piece that was about 2.5" wide. I split it into 3 pieces.
Sunday morning around 11 am I was giving it a go just over 24 hours of drying time.
Here is the video. Just click on the pic and it should play for ya. It may take a minute load so just to let you know but it should play.

Anyways all, if you are press for time and do not have time to look for a seasoned type of wood that you would like to try because either you do not have the time or what you find is rotton with dry rot cut a branch fresh and spilt and carve it up and set it aside to dry for a few days and then give it a try using your bow drill method.
