When I cut my thumb fairly badly, Walt Welch gave me some good advise: figure out as soon as possible whether or not there's tendon damage. At least in the case of a finger tendon cut, you've got about two weeks before surgery stops being an option.
Now, I'm no doctor. You've got wrist damage, so that "two week" figure may be off. And I don't know if your doctors were able to sort out tendon diagnostics when you were at the hospital. But it's possible there was too much pain to test-flex your hand and fingers properly right away.
In my case, I was able to test my thumb tendons after about three days without blowing the wound open again. Rather than actually moving the thumb, I was able to "static test" the tendons by pushing against pressure the other way.
If I was in your shoes, I'd try and test every tendon sometime in the next week or so. If anything seems weak, you'll have to think about surgery fast.
I'm not a doctor! I hope Walt chimes in on this thread. If not, you might consider dropping him EMail. And if testing those tendons *hurts*, don't...see a doctor. Just remember there's a clock ticking on whether or not tendons are fixable, and I don't know just how long the clock is set.
