Cut off disks

When do you change disks? I have a 4 1/2 inch angle grinder and the disk is now around 3 1/2 inches and I am becoming wary of using it.

Only you can make that call. If your in doubt about it being safe Change it. I would much rather change it "new or not" and throw it away than wear it in my skull..

Typically I run mine down to where they just won't go very deep anymore or till they aren't round anymore. If they are all frayed I get rid of em. Otherwise I use up everybit of it until I change it out. Probably not the best way to do things but thats how I do it.

I'm of course talking about a cut off not an angle grinder with the thicker wheels.
