The weather has been beautiful, but I have been lazy (The extra few holiday pounds probably aren't helping!) and haven't gotten out there in a while. So I took some "personal" time and headed out.

My fortress of solitude. Getting up into the rocks and off the trails gives me my own space to relax, carve, eat lunch, play with knives etc. Down in the shady section on the left is a rock overhang with a bench shaped rock to sit on too.

Some cool rocks caves back in here. This one easily goes back 6 feet or so.

This tree makes me think of Sleepy Hollow

Bees galore around the few spots of water

My BHK bushcrafter tags along quite a bit, I really love this knife. Here it's posin' all artsy

Very cool.....

Your nice clear sky's, what looks to be some WARM weather, and BHK Bushcraft knife is making me very jealous.

Still cold, dark, and dank here in Eastern Wa. An I have no BHK yet!!! I have done a lot of research here and the BHK Bushcrafter in micarta is going to be the FIRST handmade knife I buy. I think it was you Tknife that warned me about the wallet draining influence this sub forum might have. ;)

Thanks guys, it was a fun getaway for a few hours. I need to take advantage of this "cool" weather because it sure doesn't last long!

Cascade, you will find that we are all bad influences on each other in here :D But I guarantee that you will like the Bushcrafter. I have several other customs that I love, but this one offers incredible bang for the buck and is just plain comfortable to use.

How about one more pic of it to keep you properly focused on getting one ;)

And forgot to post the pic of my lizard friend that was hanging out with me as I was eating lunch. I felt guilty because he was doing pushups and I was stuffing my face

Great pics! The artsy one of the blade is very nice. Definitely should be posted on their site!

Thank you my friend. I have been looking them over here and on a few other web sites/forums so I'm PROPERLY focused. ;)

We don't have any "muscle building" lizards around here. Funny!:D

Edited to add: from the looks of the patina spots on the carbon blade you have used it well. Nice to see. Not that shiny, beautiful hand mades aren't cool, there is just something nice about a woods tool that has a few scars to show for their usefulness! :)

Aww man it looks so nice and warm there!

Want to switch homes for the winter?

I feel bad for you guys back east man, the storms have been crazy! And we've been in the 80's for the past week or so  I don't think I could handle all that snow. But during the summer when it's 110-115, I sure as hell don't want to be here :D

That's why I said "for the winter"...:p

Yeah, this winter freaking crazy. Seams like we are getting 1 big storm a week.

Next one is do on Tuesday.. :grumpy: Thats another big one, we are expecting 2-4 inches tonight; I don't even count those anymore....

Anyway, keep posting pics of that beautiful snowless country you live in:thumbup:

I have a couple of those exact same bushcrafters. Fantastic knife . What awesome pics...wish I was there right now and not in the frozen wasteland.
Man , I really got to move someday

Please send some of it up here - we have almost nothing. :(

Tell you what, need a break? Phil and I are getting together with a lurking member of BF on Sunday. :D Almost no snow................

thanks for posting up the pics

that is nice looking knife and very utilitarian :)

<-- count me as another jealous of your weather, this has been an especially long winter (even by Montana standards)

Sorry guys, didn't wanna push the sun on you too much :D But yeah we definitely have what you could call mild winters!

Nice pics. Makes me want to go climb something. Between cold, rain, and overtime, I've been wimping out this year...
