Cut Station, Sawcraft, and Axecraft

I you are in a static camp you may want to consider making a cut station. A cut station has several places to process fire wood and work on other camp projects. It helps keep a camp organized and safe. This is important especially when you have several people in the camp.

Here are the parts to a cut station.

Saw horse.Keep your logs stable when bucking them up for fire wood.

A planed down area for splitting kindling.

Very nice - those fallen down trees have so many great uses. Thanks for explaining some additional ones!
 
Hi. Nice work station! It's always good to not to hit the ground with an axe when splitting or chopping wood. :)
 
That is the same general idea as roping off an ax yard in Boy Scouts. I do like the planing off the log for a flat area to split kindling.
