I will chime in. It is the same design, with different serrations. The serrations on the 1221 (next gen), were made specifically for cutting thick rope, thus the shell-like shape of the teeth. The serrations on the explorer are more typical and more easily honed.

The problem I have with it is that it's made with 440 stainless steel and the price is 200. You could almost get 2 d2 extreme fighters for that.

Yeah..thats a wee bit pricey for what it is..you could get 2 bk2s for that price and an 11.
