Cutlery knife polishing compounds

Okay my first Cutlery knife and I want to know what is a safe compound to use for polishing I don't want to make anything toxic, thanks in advance.

Currently have jewelers polish*

Bark river green compound.

Just sharpen and clean the blade afterwards.
