So i work in a camping store, and i was cutting some 550 paracord and as i was about to slice through the top of the cord with my sog pentagon elite I folder i was called by a customer, and as i cut downward with a fairly hard motion i filleted the entire side of my right hand index finger from just to the left of my knuckle to my finger tip... needless to say 5 stitches later im not bleeding, but i sure as hell am sore... damn sharp knives and my stupid customers distracting me... im a dumbass...:)

no,wake, you are not a dumbass. this is just a learning expierience. but if you do it again.....then ,well, you'll be a certified dumbass. be careful.:)

How do you know if you actually need stitches?? Ive slit my left index finder to the bone before and just duct taped it back together and it ended up just fine.. Albeit, the scar isnt perfect, the wound healed just fine..

Stitches are a better option, not that I haven't gone the duct tape route myself on occasion....... :p
