I have a ltwe. pe. calypso that cuts like no other knife I have ever owned. I have Bm. 705,800 and a sv30 Sabenza that arent even in the same leage when it comes to sharpness. Could the Benza be re-profiled to cut as well as the Spyderco? If not would a Dozier or any other folder cut as well? Thanks Dave

Are you basing this on the edge they come with from the factory, or are you sharpening these knives yourself? The Calypso is a natural slicer, but the Sebenza with it's hollow ground blade should cut just as well if it's properly sharpend.

The edge is likely thicker and or more obtuse.

Yes and yes if you adjusted the geometry, on some folders it would take more work than others. The Sebenza has a high hollow grind so it would take less work than trying to slim out the sabre-ground AFCK for example.
