Do you know OLFA Cutter knife ?
Now, in Japan, most use OLFA, not knife.
Do you think OLFA is enough as most pearents and teachers?

Are you talking about the "x-acto" type of box opener/utility knives with the snap-off blades?

I'm not sure I understand your comment about parents and teachers - are you talking about the "safety" factor of kids taking box cutters to school with them?

There are many different OLFA cutters and I doubt that in Canada they would be accepted in schools. Most of them have blades that could do as much, or almost as much damage as a regular knife.

Most parents do not take the time(or do not want to take the time) to teach their children to use a knife responsibly and would probably not want their children to have any kind of knife. I hope I am wrong about this, but I do not think so.

If Chicahiro is talking about the safety factor of knives in school, it's reached the point now that kids are getting sent home or expelled for bringing a knife to school to eat lunch with. We're talking standard, run-of-the-mill, DULL, kitchen silverware - not some 2 foot long machete! This is insane - so you are absolutely correct - an OLFA utility knife is definitely EVIL  in the eyes of most school boards.
