Hey, no offense, but you are not going to give that knife a workout...you will not even get its heart rate elevated.

I have tried...my 5 is getting fat and lazy!

Congratulations. I predict you will have more fun with that blade than any other you own!

Grats on the new 5. I know a lot of good people here on the forums who speak well of that beast. One of these days I may get one for a BOB or Car Bag.

God bless,
Adam

PS: I know the coating on these knives is ridiculously resilient, so don't take this personally... It looks like the only thing you've used that Izula II is to open the box for that 5. I recommend that you get together with Unit and have a contest to see who can baton through an engine block first.

Nice blade.
As stated, that knife will get bored working for you.
Strip that bad boy down and patina it!

If I built a log cabin with it this weekend it would still laugh at me...and the izzys only a couple weeks old the mosts it's done is open mail and slice a sub..

Does wedging open the case on a supercharger count? I may have already won if it does:foot:

Are the "logs" petrified wood?:D

Building a cabin would be respectable! I mean nothing derogatory, just saying that for most people, the user may get a workout...but the knife will still look ridiculously good. The 5 is a really tough knife that is a lot of fun to work/play with...enjoy it in good health (and please report back with more photos).

JH,

I did not mean to understate the importance of sub-slicing... I live by a Wawa... mmmm subs. Seriously, prepare for disappointment when you start working with these things. I've beaten my ESEE-4 through things that would have stripped the finish off a becker... no, you know what that's a bad analogy. Slicing paper would do that. But anyhow, you get the point.

God bless,
Adam

Unit,

That doesn't officially qualify as batoning through an engine block. But I am nominating you to honorarily win at life for awesomeness anyway.

Man, 5's are great...I never won anything before I got a 5!

Unfortunately, the knife deserves the credit, I ooze mediocrity without it.

Thanks,
Ken (A.K.A. unit)
