Just got a whole lot easier around here. Best $100 I've spent in a while. I also found a use for one of the plates I posted about a month back.

Yeah. I'm just using a large spring clamp on the trigger. I don't want to forget and leave it plugged in where the foot switch can be inadvertantly tripped.

What's the advantage with the foot switch? Do you find yourself needing to start/stop it often while cutting a blank?

I've got the Dewalt version and like a foot switch so I'm not reaching around the machine. My only beef with this set up is you only have 4-5 inches clearance before running into the housing. I wish Dewalt would make a version where the blade isn't angled toward the machine, it would allow for longer cuts.

This one is the new harbor freight version. It looks a lot like the Milwaukee unit. There is clearance to cut stock length wise, but maybe only an inch to the left of the cut due to the motor housing. I don't think it will be an issue, since I don't generally cut more than that much off a blank in that axis. With a 25% off coupon, it came to right around $100 with tax. I may look at a foot switch, if i ever need higher production (cutting multiple blanks in one sitting)
