I have been using an dremel ultra saw to cut blanks, its pretty quick but uses discs quickly.

Are any of the metal band saws in vertical position worth it? Most look like the coolant would be going all over the floor.

Are the big old craftsman / parks variable speed any good for cutting annealed steel, say .2" or .25"?

Budget is under 2k, cutting 15 to 20 different style blades every month, would be nice to speed up the blanking step.

I use the same configuration of saw but a Jet. I wore the first one out after 19 years and this one has been going 16 years and no problems. One thing I did was make a 6 by 10 inch table to mount in place of the small one on there.
