My hand stamp is just about wore out, so I figured I would go with a stencil this time. Wanted to keep it simple, classic, something that would look appropriate on a wide variety of blade styles. In the near future im going to incorporate a date with the mark, or perhaps mark the year on the opposite side of the ricasso etc... not sure yet.

Any how, gone are the days of burnt fingers and the occasional double strike

Knife specs- 15" overall, 10" x 2" blade, 5/16" stock of 1095, black linen micarta.

I really like that, I like full handle as apposed to the wrap. To me that sig looks really good. Nice package there:thumbup:

Yup, ya done good.

Oh and the knife...
YOWWWWWWWSER!
:D

nice...your own style is becoming more defined, Matt...it's all you. love the blade shape, and love the new stencil. oh, and the handle looks pleasing to grip

Very nice Matt. Looks like you've managed to incorporate what you like from other makers - Fikes, Smith, etc. - to create a look of your own. FWIW, I still like your older knives with guards and mortised handles; more work, I know. The little bowie with the koa handle you made me is getting good use, and the bigger cord-wrapped knife is working well as the kitchen chef knife. I'll call soon; still want your version of a 9" blade inner city bowie. Good to see your new digs are working out. Ray

Just right font used. It matches the hamon and the blade design.

Year marking is just right as well. Should use the same font.

Matt, I hope my order will carry both your new maker's mark and the year mark ;)
