cutting dummy for knife testing

i have been using a kelly worden silent fighter for years to test the strength and gripdesign of knives for years.full power strikes with a live blade against the padded aluminum arms will give a good indication of whether or not the grip design will hold up under actual use.also if a folder has weaknesses they will be revealed.any alternate ideas for construction of a test dummy?
 
Any pics of the Kelly Worden dummy? Was it simply designed by him and built at home, or built by a manufacturer?
