my first son was born monday morning, and as always i had my cqc-15 in my pocket, and as my wife was laying in the hospital bed in the hours before she delivered and the nurses and such where coming and i joked with my wife about using it to cut the cord; loud enough that the nurse who was in the room at the moment could hear (i said something about using and autoclave to sterilize it so i could use it to cut the cord). sadly i was denied but told that it wasnt an uncommon request that theyve had several familes who asked similar things, but they cant oblige due to "standards" and "serialization procedures" lol. it took me about 3 snips with the surgical scissors and i couldnt help think how fast i couldve done it with my 15...lol...
