Hey guys. I know I post questions here too much , you guys are great though, thanks...

someone wants me to do a puukko with a canvas micarta handle, and I have a block that's about 1 inch thick, and wide enough for 2 handles. The question is how do I cut it? Would a regular wood bandsaw work? (I don't have access to a metal cutting one). I was also thinking of a table saw with a fine blade?
Thanks guys.

12" table saw works for me, i split 1.5" with 2 passes, RESPIRATOR, stuff is ruff on band saw blades but is do-able, i save money buying in blocks but im starting to think about buying specific thickness, alpha knife supply is a great resource.

I know the G10 stuff cuts well with a wet tile saw. Keeps dust down too. Maybe it would work with the micarta too?

They work great for micarta, I cut up all my scale material (besides wood) with a wet saw.

Cool, my band saw goes pretty fast though. Not as fast as the table saw so I may use the bandsaw... It seems like it would tear up the blade! Any experience?

Ah, I just cut it with the wood bandsaw and went slow. Worked fine, but I kind of murdered my blade :o it'll still cut wood though I guess...
