Im no expert in cutting raw material. 3.5in. round stock of Ti 6-4. need to cut 81pcs to 2.65in. on a Do-All 330 Horizontal saw. what blade, speed and feed is recommended?

Would a blade speed of 150 work? i used this speed to cut 17-4 recently

The best way to work with any titanium alloy is to observe closely and adjust as necessary. Just check out the chips and see if it's cutting efficiently.

Titanium is interesting to work with; only really used it once and it was eye opening...especially the white sparks that pop and explode when grinding too fast/too hard! LOL.

If you are grinding Ti, do not let the grinding collect anywhere on your body. Once started on fire you'll be unable to extinguish it.

When I first started using titanium years ago I had a generator under my bench where my grinder sat covered with an old uhaul moving blanket. By the time I noticed it was on fire it grew so fast I had to use a fire extinguisher to put it out. Live and learn…😖

A buddy of mine used to make folders and used Titanium a lot. Some of the coiled drill shavings in his trash can caught fire, popped out of his trash can and bounced around the shop, burned through his flip flop and was a pain to extinguish. It's tricky stuff!! And dangerous! I remember it burns white like Magnesium does!

I gave a class on making flippers to a group of blacksmith/knife makers. They collected all of the Ti drill shavings and put them on my anvil to light. Lol
