CUTTING TOOL

Hi everybody,

This is my first post and I am looking for advise on which tool should I buy in order to cut and polish some mammoth ivory slabs that I am planning to use for the overlays of a folder.

A friend of my suggested a dremel.

If this is the way to go,is there a specific brand that you may recommend ? Thanks

Files and sandpaper would be my first choice. Use a jewelers saw to cut it.

Welcome!
A dremel would be my last choice. I find it very hard to cut evenly with them. A jewelers or coping saw is what I would use.
