I was just about to take a scissors to my old credit card. Instead, I thought I'd see how it would fare against some of my "sharp" knives.

Most failed miserably. Rather than say what DIDN'T work well (like the small Sebenza), I will say that the best apeared to be my Marbles "game getter" sport 99, followed by the TnT, then the M-UDT.

The others pretty much sucked. And I thought they were damned sharp!

Plastic isn't fun to cut, but the Chiseledge knife seems to catch and cut better, IMHO...;)

hmmm cutting up the credit cards....have you gotten enough knives already? no way...

Thin blades work well on credit cards, the Umfaan is far better than the small Sebenza. Whitewing works as well.

I just cut one up using a Calypso Jr, aus-8 and Dozier D2. Both worked. It was a Debit card that I really did not want. An old Robeson carbon steel slipjoint worked too. All have blades that are not thick. Some time ago, I think it was Nemo who posted about how hard it is to cut the bottom inner circle of 2 liter soft drink bottles. They are a good challenge as I recall.

Perhaps a Cuisinart DLX food processor would be the most fun. Take that, Fleet Bank!
