Here's the CV collection. Well not quite, I forgot to add my baby butterbean to the pic. In any event I picked up this EZ open Copperhead today at a local store. Pretty excited about this find since I've never seen the pattern before. I've seen one similar, but not with the cutout. Allright your turn. Show off that CV!!

Here's a few. The Congress is really stainless (Camillus Yello-Jaket).

The Trapper went to a friend for his 50th birthday. The other's still live here.

Well, my wharncliffe copperlock is just like yours.

And I have a blue bone Wharncliffe Copperhead, but it's stainless. Not an ez open, either. Does yours have half-stops?

Great knife isn't it Sixgunner? If a half-stop is when the knife blade stops at 90 degrees from the handle as well as fully open then yes. The new two blade jack also has them.

Both great knives, and the blue is just about my favorite ever. That is exactly what a half-stop is, square tang that stops the blade at 90 degrees going either way.

Here are the ones that say CV on them. Got a few Toenails and a Toothpick that are carbon steel, but don't say CV...

I try to use all of my knives, that's what they're for right? I've got so many its hard to get them all in the rotation. Both soddies and the wharncliff copperlock all have patina and the three others I picked up in the last week and a half and just put a nice patina on them last night.

Which one? I got my Wharncliffe CV Copperlock off Ebay. It wasn't too expensive, though I have heard that it isn't in the production lineup currently. The Wharncliffe Copperhead jack in CV is still in production, but I've only seen red bone handles on the current knives, not the yellow plastic like the ones above.

My first CV. Already looking for the next one.
I sense the onset of another addiction:o.

Berkley, it's interesting that the blade on the "single blade" side seems to be a pen or spear pattern rather than a spey -- is that correct or am I seeing things?

Also - I lived in Austin for 13 years during/after college before moving here to Colorado. I miss good breakfast tacos from Juan in a Million or Taco Xpress. :: sigh ::

MG,
Case has 2 stockman patterns: the square end (which I prefer) with a regular clip, sheepfoot, and pen; the rounded end with a Turkish clip, sheepfoot, and spey. If I could design my own, it would be a square end with a regular clip, sheepfoot, and spey.
Next time you're down this way let me know- we'll go to Taco Xpress for breakfast tacos, El Azteca for cabrito, and El Rancho for fajitas:D.
