CV whittler

Re: CV Seahorse, many of us Seahorse collectors have begged and pleaded with them to do it, but they mumble excuses. Case sometimes is customer responsive, but sometimes they are stuffed shirts!!

I want one too! Maybe we should organise a petition here, if we get enough support, maybe we can convince them?

Pull this one off and I'm in for one. Hard to beat that CV steel. Just picked up a congess in CV yesterday.

Perhaps I'm being a little naive here, but I read a write-up, I think either in the Case Collector Club Magazine or in Knives Illustrated's report from a 2005 show that the Seahorse Whittler would soon be offered in CV.

So perhaps it is in the works...

Following Spyderco on the development of some of their stuff I know it can take many months to affect changes.

Actually it has been stated by a Case rep I believe on the KF Case forum that the seahorse will not be offered in CV, the reason given was that due to the blade thickness of the master blade, Case would have to order a special run of CV stock and that would be way too much, that they would have to make 30,000 of them to use up the steel.

If you can settle for 1095 Carbon steel . You can get a Case Classics or Blue Grass Winchester. Larry

And if you can settle for non-Case, the Bulldog seahorse ("wharncliff whittler") in 1095 gets pretty good reviews. I don't own one.
