I just got a Cyber CUDA in a trade and...holy cow! this blade is thick! It's a real handful for a <3" bladed knife. Not that that's a bad thing, necessarily, I was just expecting slimmer.

Anyway, the knife opens real smooth. Too smooth, in fact. Too close to the line as a 'gravity knife'. As I said, I got it in trade, so I don't know if the pivot has been lubed or loosened. What is the proper Allen wrench size on the pivot screw, so I can tighten it up?

RH,
The CYBER CUDA is a very smooth opening knife, due to the internal bushing that the blade rides on[ bronze]. The pivot is a either a SPLINE Drive or a TORX, depending on the production run of the knife. The newer ones have the TORX. When the production guys get back in from "shut down", next week, I'll get an exact size for you. THe good news is that if the knife is actually loose, you will be able to tighten it. THe bad news is that if the pivot s tight, and the blade rotates "smoother" than you like, it is because of the internal bushing, and that is the way that it will stay. The pivot screw can only tighten down as far as the bushing,a nd then it stops. If the pivot is tight, I don't believe that you will have any problems with the knife being considered a gravity knife.

I'll have your driver size for you Monday. Thanks for being a customer!
