I'm looking to replace my old SAK with a Cybertool 29. The awl, wine opener, and 4mm/5mm hex socket are essential complements to my LM Wave.

I just have a question about the implements. Do they lock? I've gotten used to the locking mechanism on my Wave, so I was wondering if all the tools on the Cybertool lock?

My other question is about the hex socket. In the Swissarmy website, it says 4mm and 5mm socket. Does that mean that you have to swap the sockets (if indeed there are two)? Or does the socket accommodate both 4mm and 5mm?

And lastly, will the socket be able to hold in place 4mm bits that don't have the ball bearings as the one on the Cybertools? My 4 mm bits are just regular ones.

Thanks for reading my question.

I can tell you that none of the tools on the Cybertool range lock, nor on any other 91mm SAK.

As to your other questions, I am not sure. But, I am not aware of multiple sockets.

Nope, no lock, just strong backsprings. The socket wrench, in particular, has a very sturdy spring that hold it either half open or full open.

Just one socket, but it's "stepped"; 5mm bits would fit only part way in, and 4mm bits fit into the center.

Actually, I've never seen 5mm bits, and in fact, the CyberTool isn't really intended to use such a thing. In the literature, Victorinox says that the 5mm part of the socket is for the 5mm locking screws on D-Sub electronics connectors.

Actually, I haven't seen 4mm bits anywhere, either, but I wish I could find them. The ones included with the CyberTool are pretty well chosen (the torx in particular come in real handy for both electronics and knives!), but it would be nice to have more options.

Thanks for the reply mates. As for the 4mm bits, I bought mine from an electronics store. It's the place to buy very small bits all the way to #4 torx and .3mm hex and #000 phillips.

Bits from the Wiha MicroBit series are 4mm hex and will fit in the Cybertool socket.
