Cycles/whats the norm

I'm curious how many times a day on average do you folks cycle your CRK folders knives ?

I'm pretty sure Chris didn't make his knives to be used as worry beads :D..I my self admit to cycling my folders over 500 times in one night( i cycled my first Zaan thousands of times for over a year trying to break it) but that is not my norm.

On average i cycle my carry knife about 6-10 times a day on heavy use days at work maybe 15-20.
 
25 times a day at work would be conservative..

For my '99 Lg BG42 Seb 25x365x10 = 91,250

Call it roughly 100k cycles so far, still smooth as silk.
 
My range is probably 4-8 on a work day, 10-15 on a weekend day, with the occasional 20-30 on an intense project day. This does not count when I'm fidgety during a boring movie, when I'm meeting w/ a guy that wants to date my daughter, or the like. Those sessions might give me 100+ cycles in a sitting.
 
I drive an hour to work and an hour back. most of the time I'm flipping my ummie or a sebenza all the way from door to door. 3 times a minute * 60 minutes * 2 * 5 = 1800 times a week only during driving :D It might be an overestimation but I do cycle a lot while driving.

I fiddle around a lot with the blades and use them when carrying so that also adds some cycles, probably around 20

All i can say is I'm glad yur in anether land than I and not sharing my roads...do you also speak on the cell phone while yur cycling.

I can see the headlines now...Netherland driver hits kangeroo crossing road, the coroner has not determined why the driver has a pocket knife thru the forehead. :)
 
That's a good question.. If I had to guess, I would say 5-6x per day on average. My Sebenza will turn 3 this year and the action is still smooth and the lock-up tight. :thumbup:
 
around 20 times for a normal day...on certain days maybe up to 100...just depends on what im doing :D

I am one of those rare examples of the male species that actually can do more than one thing at the same time :)
Btw, no kangeroos in the Netherlands, only bikers ;) and yes, I do use my cell phone, handsfree though. When the client I'm speaking to is a good negotiator I start cycling faster, this actually helps me sell more :D (the implicit audible threat does it all the time hehe)

btw, I do think about accidents and my crown jewels. road rules: 1.never open in front of the airbag. 2. never open in front of the jewels 3. keep your eyes and attention on the road.
 
Give it up, there is no safe way to flick a knife while driving a car.
This will only end badly..
