Just got a 2014 Specialized Crux Sport (new with non recalled disks). Looking to have some fun on this bike. My roadie is a carbon Trek Emonda, love it, but need some gravel. What are you riding? How's your ride set up? I'll get pics posted tonight or tomorrow of mine.

I have a '96 Bianchi cyclocross running Campy 8sp. I don't race with it, just ride on gravel and dirt. However, it has gotten little use since I purchased a Hampsten Strada Bianca, which is not a CX bike but rather a road bike with room for 35mm tires. The Bianchi has a higher BB in the Euro CX tradition whereas the Hampsten a lower than road normal so the former ends up having a higher center of gravity which makes me feel less comfortable in many situations.

Awesome. Bikes are about as addictive as knives I'm finding out. I am fortunate enough to live by a rail trail segment and have a out and back of a little over 40 miles I can ride with the Crux. I'm enjoying it a ton. Only bugger is that my rear hydro brake (SRAM s700) has developed a nasty vibration l, although it still stops like a champ. In good form, SRAM is sending two new rotors and pads to switch out as warrenty. I probably didn't bed them properly as I'm relatively new to hydraulic disk brakes. Hopefully that takes care of it. I'm looking into frame packs as well. Wouldn't mind having some cargo options for this bike. Any recommendations?

They are addictive, no doubt about it. Good luck with the brakes. I haven't used a frame bag so I have no first hand experience but the Revelate Designs stuff seems to be well loved. Another worth looking at would be Jannd...they make good quality products (I have one of their seat bags) and are fairly inexpensive.

I was looking at jannd. Great price for the frame packs. Perhaps I'll start there. I have a messenger bag from them I've had now for maybe 10 years. Can't remember where I got it, but we'll made for sure.

I love bikes. I currently commute 15-16 miles a day on a Soma Doublecross. I bought it used, with a lot higher spec parts than I would have gotten for myself, and haven't taken it out on fire trails or single track yet. I love the geometry, though. It is fast, but the bottom bracket is forward enough that I don't have to worry about getting shaky when I am riding fast with heavily loaded rear panniers.
